Class R

We have been exploring the theme ‘How does your garden grow?’. Our runner beans are beginning to climb the fence in our outdoor area. Mrs.Carter took us into the science garden to collect herbs to make different flavoured breads.

We visited Trelissick for a teddy bears’ picnic and learned ‘The Secret of SWAF.’ We know that all living things need Shelter, Water Air and Food to survive.

Class 2

In the Autumn term we thought about healthy eating and we visited ‘Fifteen’ restaurant and sampled lots of delicious and unusual food.

In the Spring term we found out lots of interesting facts about dinosaurs and put all our information into a wonderful colourful class book.

In Science we found about about electricity and we enjoyed finding out how to make a bulb light up in a circuit. We also designed and made some shoe box rooms. We included a circuit to make the bulb light up in our rooms.

Class 4

Class 4 have been doing some amazing work this year. For our ‘Knights and Castles’ topic in the Autumn term we went to Pendennis Castle. We had fun looking around the castle. We loved the dungeons and the toilet! We dressed up as Tudors, played Tudor games and wrote with a quill.

This term we went to the Eden Project and all became jungle rangers. We had to work out how to survive in a jungle. It was so hot and sticky in the rainforest biome that we had to cool down by the waterfall.

We’re also getting really good at French. We can say lots of phrases, sing lots of songs and like being ‘language detectives.’
