Literacy – We will have been learning how to create newspaper articles in English lessons.  Write your own newspaper article about something that interests you. It could be real, or made up.  Remember to answer the questions: Who? Where? Why? How? When? If you want to, you can use the computer to help you.

Our topic in the second half of the term is ROMANS.  Who were the Romans?  Where did they come from? Can you find out any interesting facts to share with the class?

After half term

As well as the homework above, children in Year 4 are expected to read for about 20 minutes each day.  It is very useful if the books being read are discussed with an adult to improve comprehension skills.  Some nights, instead of reading children can complete ‘reading activities’ in their reading diaries.

As always if you have any questions please come in and see us.

Kind regards,

Mark Lloyd
